Only you know whether you want to try counselling, but if you are finding day-to-day life difficult and struggling to cope, you may find it helpful to talk to a therapist. Sometimes just talking to someone confidentially, who is not a friend or family member, can make a difference.
Counselling provides a regular time for you to explore your feelings and talk about any problems you're experiencing. A counsellor can help you develop better ways of coping, through different therapeutic approaches, allowing you to move forward and get the most out of life.
Sessions will last 50 minutes for adults and 40 minutes for children under 16.
My fee is £45.00 per 50 minute session payable by bank transfer before each appointment.
I have limited face to face and online availability at a discounted price to provide affordable counselling to students, unemployed and those on low incomes.
When working with children I like to have an initial assessment meeting with parents/carers where you can tell me a little more about what is going on. This can be over the telephone or online. We will also have a review meeting every 8 weeks. If your child is under 16 I ask that you wait nearby so that if your child needs you, you are easily able to get them.
If you are unable to attend a session I ask for 24 hours’ notice, after which point you will be charged for the session. Where possible, I will try to rearrange and find a mutually convenient alternative time for your session.
